William G. Jamieson
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Jamieson, William G., 78, of North Providence and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Gammons) Jamieson. They were happily married for 56 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late George and Catherine Shaheen.
Theresa C. Porter
CUMBERLAND - Theresa C. (Durand) Porter, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred M. Porter. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Rose A. (Vandale) Durand, she moved to Pawtucket in 1963 and then to Cumberland in 1995.
Theresa was the Export Manager for the L. G. Balfour Company, Attleboro for sixteen years until 1977; she then worked as a legal secretary for Allstate Insurance Company, Providence for 10 years until retiring in 1991.
PAWTUCKET - Richard "Chard" John Joseph, 63, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday.
Born in Pawtucket, a lifelong resident of the city, he was the son of the late James and Dorothy (McLaughlin) Joseph. Mr. Joseph had been employed by the Ferland Corporation in the maintenance department. Chard was a avid fisherman and a New England sports enthusiast and a big practical joker who enjoyed making people laugh.
PAWTUCKET - Louise Carpentier, 91, of Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket, formerly of Clinton St. Woonsocket, died Saturday at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Carpentier. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie Anne (Nadeau) Beaudet.
Louise was an assembler for Hasbro Corp. and General Instruments for many years. She retired in 1989 from Rathbun Outlet where she worked as a clerk for thirteen years. Louise was a former member of the Kennedy Manor Club.
Amadeus J. Departhy
CUMBERLAND - Amadeus "Blackie" J. Departhy, 90, of Sanford Avenue, passed away Sunday, August 4, at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing of Pawtucket. He was the husband of Rita T. (Bruneau) Departhy, and they had been married for the past 69 years.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Henry and Arzelia (Valcourt) Departhy. He was a life-long resident of Cumberalnd.
Amadeus was a United States Army WWII Veteran.
Mr. Departhy was employed as a Custodian for the Cumberland School Department for over 20 years, retiring in 1985.
DOVER, DE - Barbara Mattis, a current resident of Dover, DE, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 63 on July 30, 2013, following a valiant battle with ovarian cancer for more than fifteen years. She was the loving and devoted wife of Arnold E. Mattis for 30 years at the time of her passing.
