Kenneth G. Audette
PAWTUCKET - Audette, Kenneth G. "Kenny", 58 passed away Saturday at Oakhill Nursing and Rehabilitation in Pawtucket. He was the beloved son of the late George J. and June (Voyer) Audette.
Kenneth was a very special person whose wonderful personality and winning smile brought out the best in everyone he met. He enjoyed going camping with his mother and father in their motor home, visiting construction sites with his dad and listening to country music. He was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
Ellis J. Newton
EAST PROVIDENCE - Ellis J. Newton, 88, formerly of Rumford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Arline (Trahan) Newton.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Jay C. and Pearl (Pennington) Newton. Ellis resided in Rumford over forty years and was a parishioner at Saint Margaret Church.
Lloyd G. Rhodes, Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Lloyd "Rusty" G. Rhodes, Sr., 75, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Frances E. (Downey) Rhodes for fifty-one years. Born in Greenville, Ohio, he was a son of the late George F. and Accle Lottie (Wicker) Rhodes.
Vincent E. Moretti
PAWTUCKET - Vincent E. Moretti, formerly of Pawtucket died on July 13, 2013.
Mr. Moretti was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Eugene and Mary (Nicoletti) Moretti.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.
After the war, Mr. Moretti worked at the Fram Corporation for many years.
He is survived by his loving cousins, Alice Marques, Patricia DiLucido, Susan Magill and Mary Lou Altman.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Moretti on Wednesday, July 17th at 10:00 am in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.
Katherine E. McCaughey
PAWTUCKET - Katherine E. McCaughey, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2013. She was the beloved daughter of the late Hugh J. and Ella M. (Turner) McCaughey.
Katherine was a Class of 1975 graduate of Roger Williams University and worked in retail as a buyer, at Ann & Hope, Cumberland for 31 years and for the TJX, Corporation for 10 years.
Katherine leaves many cousins and dear friends.
Pauline A. Landry
WOONSOCKET - Pauline A. Landry, 77, died peacefully surrounded by her extended families at the Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center, Woonsocket on Thursday, July 11, 2013.
Pauline was born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late Herve and Annette (Morrissette) Landry and lived her life in the Blackstone Valley.
She leaves a cousin and devoted caregiver Jacqueline Tondreau and her family of Cumberland and the dedicated and loving staff on the third floor of Trinity Center, especially Kathy, Josette, Christina (Sweetie Pie), and Eric (Tattoo).
Glenn C. Postle
PAWTUCKET - Glenn C. Postle, 59, of East Ave. passed away Friday at home. He was the beloved son of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Wilkinson) Postle Jr.
Born in Providence he resided in Lincoln for the past twenty years. He was a Lincoln High School and CCRI graduate.
He was a member of the Cumberland Community Chorus, and the group, "Encore - For Your Pleasure."
He leaves a brother Wilfred Postle III and his wife Kara and was the brother of the late Wayne Postle. He also leave aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
David A. Traylor
PROVIDENCE - Traylor, David A., 63, formerly of Providence passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, in Lakeland, Florida. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Walter and Norma (Duphiney) Traylor. Mr. Traylor served honorably in the U.S Navy for 4 years.
Robert L. Ruel
CUMBERLAND - Robert "Robby" L. Ruel, 44, of Leigh Road, passed away Wednesday at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Richard O. Ruel Sr. and Anne M. (George) Ruel. He was a life-long resident of Cumberland.
Besides his parents, he leaves his maternal grandparents, Louis and Violet (Couture) George of Cumberland, one brother Richard Ruel Jr. of Cumberland; as well as his aunts, cousins, and friends.
CENTRAL FALLS - Nellie (Macksoud) Lemire, 93, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 8, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Ovila Lemire. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Habib and Lillie (Sasba) Macksoud. Nellie worked at Hasbro for many years until her retirement. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking; baking and especially enjoyed playing Bingo with her many friends. Nellie was also a Hi-Lo Jack, championship player.
Jeanie Y. Howard
LINCOLN - Jeanie Y. Howard, 92, died Sunday at Hebert Nursing Home. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Wyllie) Howard.
Miss Howard had been employed as an executive secretary for Lyon Morrison Paper Co. for many years and retired at the age of 65. She was a 1938 graduate of Pawtucket East High School, a former treasurer of Seekonk Alliance Church, a member of Faith Alliance Church of Attleboro, MA and a member of the church's mission committee.
Mary H. Crook
EAST PROVIDENCE - Mary H. (Hunt) Crook, 91, formerly of Vermont Avenue, Rumford died Monday, July 8, 2013 at Waterview Villa. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Crook, Sr.
She was born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Michael and Nora (Hunt) Hunt. Mrs. Crook was a receptionist for Hasbro Industries for 27 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Teresa's Church and a member of the Seniors Club. She was also a member of the Quarter Century Club at Hasbro.
Ronald R. Martel
PAWTUCKET - Ronald R. Martel, 70, died at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, July 8, 2013. He was born in Pawtucket, the son of Dorothy (Breault) Martel and the late Joseph H. Martel and lived most of his life in the Blackstone Valley area. Ron was an automobile salesman for many years at Fireside Nissan until retiring several years ago. He was a proud veteran serving in the U S. Navy for four years. He was a member of American Legion Post #312.
Helene D. Geoffroy
PAWTUCKET - Helene D. (Joyal) Geoffroy, 74, died peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2013 amongst family. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Armand Albert and Ernestine Regina (Brouillard) Joyal. A communicant of St. Cecilia Church, she served as a choir member and music librarian for over 50 years. Most recently employed at Fiore Asmussen, she had also worked for Thomson Apex, Industrial National Bank, and as secretary for the Young Peoples School for the Performing Arts.
Georgia A. Messier
PAWTUCKET - Georgia A. Messier, passed July 4, 2013. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Messier, Sr. She was the daughter of the late George and Louise (Nelson) Scott.
She is survived by three children, Robert J. Messier, Jr. and his wife Colleen, Lu-Ann R. Rancourt and her husband Paul and Jill L. Provost and her husband Raymond, two sisters Alyce Gorman and Ruth Kaye, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Messier was a payroll analyst for Lifespan for over twenty years.
Maria A. Sousa
CENTRAL FALLS - Maria A. Sousa, 79, entered into eternal life, at home on Saturday. She was born in Vila Franca, Sao Miguel, the Azores, a daughter of the late Mariano and Maria deConceicao (Costa) Batista. She had previously live in Cumberland 6 years and moved to Central Falls in 1985. She had been previously employed at the Otis Hospital in Cambridge, MA. in the housekeeping Dept.
Edna B. Turmel
PAWTUCKET - Edna B. Turmel, 79, passed Thursday July 4, 2013. She was the wife of Russell Turmel Sr. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Victor and Charlotte (Seagrave) Lambert.
Besides her husband she leaves three children, Charlene Turmel, Bruce Lambert and Russell Turmel Jr, six grandchildren Darrell, Richard, Amy, Bruce, Adrienne, and Cheyenne, three great grandchildren Aiden, Kaylee and Shea. She was the sister of the late Dolores Patenaude and Arthur Lambert.
Lucien J. Pelletier
ALBION - Lucien J. Pelletier, 90, formerly of School St., Albion, died Friday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the loving husband of Ida I. (Floyd) Pelletier. They were married on September 27, 1944.
Born and raised in Albion, he was a son of the late Domina and Clarinda (Lusignan) Pelletier.
Mr. Pelletier served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a Boatswain's Mate First Class on the LCT 590 which was one of the first vessels to land at Omaha Beach during the Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944.
Carole Ann Andrews
LINCOLN - Carole Ann Andrews, 68, of Lincoln, died suddenly on Friday at home. She was the wife of Richard A. Andrews. They had been married 45 years. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Catherine (Crawley) Rivard.
CENTRAL FALLS - Antoinette (Demty) Keough, 90, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Mount St Rita Health Centre in the presence of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent H. Keough who died in 1993. They were married May 15, 1955. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Farjallah and Effifie (Kabbaze) Demty.
