George R. Riendeau
PAWTUCKET - George "Bud" R. Riendeau, 84, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013. Born in Providence, a son of the late George W. and Mary (Fortier) Riendeau, he resided in Pawtucket over 30 years. Bud was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He was employed as a pump operator for the City of Pawtucket at the Filtration Plant, Cumberland for 18 years until retiring, and was also a self employed auto mechanic.
He leaves several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was the brother of the late William R., Joseph M. and Robert C. Riendeau.
CENTRAL FALLS - Teresa Wec, 62, of High Street passed away Monday March 18, 2013 at Roger Williams Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Stanley Wec.
Born in Poland she was a daughter of the late Adam and Julia (Adamczyk) Sojka. She lived in Central Falls for the past 35 years and was formerly of Pawtucket.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church Holy Rosary Society.
Robert B. Lyons
PAWTUCKET - Robert B. Lyons, of McAloon Street, Pawtucket died on Saturday, March 16, 2013.
Mr. Lyons was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of the late John Lyons and Margaret (Murphy) Lyons. He was a card dealer at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.
Mr. Lyons is survived by his daughters, Kristin Lyons and husband Gary Contois of Seekonk Ma., and Susan Young and her husband Brian of Omaha, Nebraska. He also leaves his grandchildren, Nicole Contois, Shauna Contois, Jasmine Contois, Ryan Contois, Kaitlyn Young and Timothy Young.
Joan A. DiGregorio
CUMBERLAND - Joan A. DiGregorio, 77, formerly of Pawtucket, died Saturday. She was the wife of the late Frank G. DiGrigorio.
Born in Cranston, April 17, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Alma (Belander) Dufresne. She lived in Pawtucket most of her life and had resided in Cumberland since 1978.
Helen C. Cook
CUMBERLAND - Helen C. (Wunschel) Cook, 82, of Melrose St. passed away peacefully Friday in the RI. Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late James B. Cook Sr.
Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Popiolek) Wunschel. She had resided in Cumberland for the past 62 years.
She was employed by the former A. T. Cross Co., Lincoln for a number of years and was previously employed by the former Peterson Puritan Co., Cumberland for many years.
