Albert E. Deschenes
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Albert E. Deschenes, 75 of North Providence died Sunday at the St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. He was the loving husband of Monique (Berthelette) Deschenes.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Alfred and Vidola (Boissy) Deschenes. Albert lived most of his life in Pawtucket and moved to North Providence in 2006.
Prior to his retirement he worked as a Sales Representative for Famous Foods Company of Virginia for many years. He was an Army Veteran having served overseas.
Rita R. Dupont
LINCOLN - Rita R. Dupont, 93, passed peacefully December 29, 2012 at Mount St. Rita Health Center. She was the wife of the late Rene Dupont Sr.
Born in Pawtucket, Rita was the daughter of the late Amateur and Rosianne (Raymond) Plouffe. She had been employed as a textile worker in the Blackstone Valley area for many years. Rita lived most of her life in Central Falls before moving to Lincoln ten years ago and was a Communicant of St. Jude Church. She had a passion for family, friends and bingo.
Eugene David Bottai
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. - Eugene David Bottai, age 88, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Pawtucket, RI passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Bottai Mr. Bottai is survived by his children - Charleen Lidsey, of Winder, GA; Gail and Jack Soule, of Post Falls, Idaho; brother - Donald Bottai, of Pawtucket, RI; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

James W. Kenny, Jr.
EAST PROVIDENCE - James W. Kenny, Jr., 91, of Rumford, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie E. (Gallagher) Kenny, to whom he had been married for 60 years.
Norman G. Larivee
CENTRAL FALLS - Norman G. Larivee, 80, passed peacefully on December 26th with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Doris (Laplume) Larivee. They have been married for 60 years.
He was a son of the late Joseph and Aurore (Massey) Larivee. He was a lifelong resident of Central Falls. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Raymond P. Barthe
CUMBERLAND - Raymond P. Barthe, 80, of Jackson St., passed away Wednesday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline N. (Bertini) Barthe.
Born in Central Falls he was the son of the late Paul and Alma (Gouin) Barthe. He resided in Cumberland for the past 50 years.
Mr. Barthe was employed by the former ITT Royal Electric Co., Pawtucket for many years until his retirement and was also a member of the IBEW.
He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Agostinho R. Rosa
PAWTUCKET - Agostinho R. Rosa, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Conceicao M. (Fernandes) Rosa. The couple would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on January 18, 2013.
Born in St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal, a son of the late Manuel Raposa Rosa and Diamantina Soares Rosa, he came to the United States in 1966 and settled in Pawtucket. Agostinho was employed by Northeast Cable, Attleboro for twenty-eight years until retiring in 1994.
Joseph F. Casper
SOUTH ATTLEBORO, MA - Joseph F. Casper, 37, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Born in Providence, he was a son of James F. and Marianne (Nyzio) Casper of South Attleboro.
Besides his loving parents, he leaves his brother, Michael J. Casper and his wife, Nicole of South Attleboro and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Julia M. Niedzwiadek
PAWTUCKET - Niedzwiadek, Julia M., 85 of Owen Avenue, passed away Sunday in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the wife of Edward Niedzwiadek, and they had been married for 64 years.
Born in Central Falls, and she was the daughter of the late Walenty and Lavena (Vensky) Rogala. She resided in Pawtucket for the past 31 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Mrs. Niedzwiadek was employed as an Assembler for the Texas Instruments Inc. for 23 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church.

CUMBERLAND - Pauline T. (Brousseau) Perry, 83, of Sumner Brown Drive, Cumberland, Rhode Island; formerly of Virginia Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, died on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Mt. St. Rita Health Care Centre in Cumberland, Rhode Island where she had been a resident since November. She was the wife of William Perry to whom she was married on April 27, 1985.
NORTH KINGSTON - Beatrice (Patenaude) Benjamin, 90, died on Christmas Day at the South County Nursing and Rehab Center in North Kingston following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Roland Benjamin. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Edmund and Olivine (St. Jean) Patenaude, she had been a resident of Pawtucket since 1976 where she was a communicant of St. Cecilia Church. She was a member of the Seniors Club of St. Matthew (Holy Spirit Catholic Community) Church in Central Falls.
Doris T. Landry Charron
CUMBERLAND - Doris T. Landry Charron, 87, of Cumberland, died Saturday at Grandview Nursing Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late George H. Landry and the late Ernest D. Charron. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Sawyer) Lefort.
She was employed at Emery's Catering for 19 years retiring in 1990.
Mrs. Landry Charron is survived by her son George H. Landry of Cumberland; daughter Diane R. Brown of Pawtucket; sister Lorraine Bouley of Warwick; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
AVON, CT - Emily (Otto) Sheldon, 102, beloved wife of the late Rev. Paul E. Sheldon, died Tuesday, (December 18, 2012) at her home in Avon.
Born and raised in Marietta, OH, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Emma (Andre) Otto. The wife of a Congregational church pastor, she and her husband served churches in the greater Boston area and Pawtucket, RI. She was a world traveler and loved music. Emily enjoyed swimming, which she did in Niantic Bay to the age of 100.
CUMBERLAND - Jack Oliveira, 93, of Clark Street, passed away Saturday in the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Smith) Oliveira and they had been married for the past 65 years.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Faustino and Maria Oliveira. He resided in Cumberland for the past 20 years, previously residing on Brown Street in South Attleboro.
Mr. Oliveira was employed as a tool maker for the Fram Corporation for over 40 years until his retirement in 1981.
Edward R. Marsland
CUMBERLAND - Edward R. Marsland, 82, of Cumberland, died Tuesday at home. He was the husband of Doris M. (Horsfield) Marsland. They had been married 60 years.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late George R. and Lillian (Fogg) Marsland.
Mr. Marsland had been employed as a machinist-foreman for Standard Nut & Bolt Company. He later worked in the custodial department for the Cumberland School System. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran.
Robert L. Allen
SEEKONK - Allen, Robert L., 94, husband, for 63 years, of the late Irma V. (Inman), passed away on Dec. 19'th.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Frederic W. and Ada A. (Thompson) Allen. Mr. Allen had formerly resided in Seekonk and Limington, ME. He worked as a quality Controll Inspector and was owner of the Little Rhody Vending Co. He was Past Master of the Netop Lodge of Masons, now Eastern Star Lodge and was a member of the Seekonk Blood Program.
Nancy M. Vine

REHOBOTH - Nancy Marion (Hartley) Vine, 70, of Hillside Avenue, Rehoboth, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, December 15, 2012. She was the former wife of Donald V. Vine of North Dighton.
Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on December 8, 1942, she was a daughter of the late David and Mildred C. (Gould) Hartley. Raised and educated in Pawtucket, Ms. Vine was a 1960 graduate of the former Pawtucket West High School.
PAWTUCKET - Christo Gannites, 80,of Pawtucket, passed away on December 17, 2012. He was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Nicholas and Athena (Eledos) Gannites who were originally from Greece. He was the husband of the late Bertha (Ryan) Gannites who passed away in 1992.
After serving his country in the Army during the Korean War, he worked for 30 years for the Pawtucket Fire Department as a mechanic before retiring in 1994.
Manuel A.S. Pereira
PAWTUCKET - Manuel A.S. Pereira, 95 of Liverpool Avenue died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Waterview Villa Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Maria Ascencao (Gois) Pereira.
He was born in Vila das Velas, Sao Jorge, Azores a son of the late Manuel S. and Rosa Conceicao Pereira. Mr. Pereira was a machine operator for the Mono Die Cutting Company for 15 years before retiring.
He leaves one son, Filomeno A. Pereira and his wife Telma of Seekonk. He was the brother of the late Laura Freitas, Maria Alice Luis, Alberto S. and Antonio S. Pereira.
Duarte M. Santos
CENTRAL FALLS - Duarte M. Santos, 81 of Central Falls died Sunday at the Philip Hulitar Impatient Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria A. (DaSilva) Santos. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio and Rosa (Pacheco) dosSantos. Duarte came to the US in 1970 and settled in Cambridge. He has been a Central Falls resident since 1973.
Prior to his retirement in 1993 he was a kitchen worker at Providence College for 12 years.
