PAWTUCKET - Annie Astphan, 85, passed away on September 10, 2012 at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family, after a courageous fight with Alzheimer's Disease.
PAWTUCKET - Joseph Medeiros, 84, formerly of Doyle Manor in Pawtucket, passed away Friday at the Grandview Center in Cumberland after an illness.
He was born in new Bedford, a son of the late Anthony and Juanna (Amaral) Medeiros. He had lived in Pawtucket since 1958 and had been employed at Teknor Apex, retiring in 1990. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He leaves 3 sisters, Alzira DeMattos, Joana Gracia and Hilda Medeiros all of Swansea.
At his request Services were Private. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
Irene L. Laberge
ATTLEBORO, MA - Irene L. Laberge, 93, of Phillips Street, Attleboro, passed on September 9, 2012 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late David Laberge who passed in 2010.

KNOXVILLE, TN - ELKAS, RAYMOND E. "BUZZ" - age 84, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 6, 2012, after an extended illness.
Born on July 16, 1928, in Central Falls, RI. Retired owner of Players International of Knoxville. 1947 graduate of Saint Raphael Academy, Graduate of University of Tennessee, Member of the UT Lettermen's Club, having in 1948 and 1949 under General Neyland.
Jeanne R. Vigeant
CENTRAL FALLS - Jeanne R. Vigeant, 95, passed peacefully at the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Albertine (Labrie) Vigeant.
She had been employed as the Office Manager for Dr. Ronchese for over 40 years.
She was a former member of the Golden Agers, the former Central Falls Community Center, the Alumni Association of St. Xavier Academy and was also a lifelong Communicant of Saint Matthew Church.
EAST PROVIDENCE - June Harriet Reardon of Riverside, R.I. and her Westport MA retreat, passed away at home, Saturday, September 8, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.
June was the daughter of the late Edward W. Reardon and Doris (Smiley) Reardon. She grew up in Saylesville and Pawtucket. June graduated Jr. High School from St. Mary Academy Bay View and graduated with honors from Pawtucket West High School. She later earned her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Johnson and Wales University.
Albina M. Lakomski
PAWTUCKET - Albina M. Lakomski, passed away Friday September 7, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter P. Lakomski.
Born in Attleboro, MA she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Polak) Hull. She lived in Pawtucket for the past 63 years.
Marie Ange Michaud
PAWTUCKET - Marie Ange Michaud, 83, passed peacefully at the Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston on September 8, 2012. Born in Quebec, Canada on August 2, 1929 Marie was the wife of the late Leon J. Michaud. She relocated to RI five years ago from Florida.
She is survived by three daughters, Rita Michaud, Theresa Holley and Suzanne Anastacio her husband Luis and their son Gabriel.
Marie was one of 15 children and is also survived by a sister, Jackie Lebeau of Wilfred Manor and six other siblings in Canada. Marie was a joy and a blessing to all that knew her.
CENTRAL FALLS - Lucille Ledoux, 91, of 466 Hunt St, passed on September 6th. She was the wife of the late Rudolph Ledoux.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ida (Deschesne) Philibert. She had been employed by United Net and had also worked in the Jewelry Industry.
She is survived by a sister, Therese Batalon and her husband Deacon Raymond Batalon of Greenville, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Richard Ledoux and sister of the late Irma Emond, Estelle Chicoine and Jeannette Boucher.
Doris F. Larocque
PAWTUCKET - Doris F. Larocque, 87 passed away Friday, August 31st at the Oakhill Nursing Home in Pawtucket. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Larocque for 63 years.
Born in Fitchburg, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alvarez and Felixina (Lemoine) Marceau.
Doris is survived by her loving and devoted caretaker and daughter, Lynn A. Larocque; a daughter in law Sharlene Larocque; a sister, Elaine Lethbridge; several nieces and nephews and her much loved K-9 companions, Shi-Ling, Angelic and Amelia.
Evelyn I. dosSantos
Evelyn "Daisy" I. DosSantos, 65, of Johnston died Tuesday at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of Angelo dosSantos and they were married for 26 years.
Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Frates) McDermott. Evelyn resided in Pawtucket most of her life and moved to Johnston 3 years ago.
Margaret C. Podgurski
RUMFORD- Margaret C. (Cloutier) Podgurski, 92, formerly of Rumford Towers and Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Podgurski and the loving mother of the late Nancy M. Cox.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary V. (Harbec) Cloutier, she resided in Pawtucket most of her life before moving to Rumford in 1986.
Mrs. Podgurski was a saleslady at the Peerless Company, Pawtucket for sixteen years until retiring in 1984.
Dorothy H. Jannerelli
SOUTH ATTLEBORO - Dorothy H. Jannerelli, 90, of Cumberland Avenue died Monday, September 4, 2012 in Kindred Hospital, Stoughton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Frank A. Jannerelli who passed away in 1979.
Born January 25, 1922 in North Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late George Kettell and Grace (Howard) Arns.
Dorothy G. Dobson
CUMBERLAND - Dorothy G. Dobson, 76, passed September 4th. She was the wife of the late Earl Dobson Jr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Lena (Lewis) Bir.
She had been employed as a CNA for many years and was a volunteer and peer counselor for the M.S. Society of RI.
She is survived by two sons, Earl "David" Dobson and his wife Lori of North Scituate and Brian W. Dobson and his wife Martina of Cumberland, a grandson Dale B. Dobson of North Scituate. She was the sister of the late Celia Shurtleff.
Frieda H. Dengal
PAWTUCKET - Frieda H. Dengal, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2012.
Born in Rehoboth, she was a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Morth) Dengal. She was a service advisor in the Business Service Department at Verizon for many years until retiring. Frieda was a devoted volunteer giving freely of herself to many local organizations including; AT&T Pioneers, American Red Cross and local womens shelters in Pawtucket and Providence, where she was known amongst children as The Ice Cream Lady.
Antonio J. Perrone
PAWTUCKET - Antonio J. Perrone formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of the late Wanda Carmen (Cosentini) Perrone. Mr. Perrone was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Joseph and Rosina Perrone.
He had a long and illustrious Military Career. Mr. Perrone served in the United States Navy, The United States Army and the United States Air Force during WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
CENTRAL FALLS - Olivia Rodrigues, 85, of Central Falls, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Mauricio Rodrigues. Born in Madeira, Portugal she was a daughter of the late Joaquim and Maria Angela Rodrigues.
Mrs. Rodrigues was employed as a machine operator at Filipe Braiding Co. She retired in 1991. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Marguerite "Joyce" Liston

PAWTUCKET - Marguerite "Joyce" Liston, loving wife, wonderful mom. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her family. Also a fan of Nascar and a chocolate connoisseur.
Joyce is survived by her daughters Lorna Hall and Kelly O' Connor of Pascoag, R.I., sons Alan Liston of Pawtucket R.I. and Kevin Liston of Concord N.H. She is also survived by her sisters Ruth Fischer of Washington N.H. and Barbara Blake of Pawtucket R.I. and her brother John Smith of Middletown, N.Y. along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Irene M. Crawley
CUMBERLAND - Irene M. Crawley, 89, of Cumberland, died Saturday at Oakland Grove Health Center. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Crawley.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Eva (St. Onge) Fournier.
Mrs. Crawley was employed as an assembler for AT Cross of Lincoln for over 20 years until her retirement.
Her sons Edward J. Crawley of Lincoln, Robert H. Crawley of Cumberland, Richard A. Crawley of Lincoln and Michael R. Crawley of Cumberland; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Maria G. Afonso
CENTRAL FALLS- Maria G. (Gomes) Afonso, 94, of Washington St. passed away Thursday in the Grandview Nursing Center, Cumberland. She was the beloved wife of the late Abilio Afonso.
Born in Cov as, de Barroso, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Aflredo and Victoria ( Afonso ) Gomes. She had resided in Central Falls most of her life.
Mrs. Afonso was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
