Rita G. Dalpe
PAWTUCKET - Rita G. Dalpe, 91, of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012. She was the wife of the late William C. Dalpe.
Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Germaine (Chicoine) Batalon. Mrs. Dalpe was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
Ernesto Xavier DePina
CENTRAL FALLS - Ernesto "Ernie" Xavier DePina, 25, died September 29, 2012, at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on May 10, 1987, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the son of Jose Olimpio DePina and Margarida Xavier-DePina. He was the second eldest son of three boys and one girl.
He is survived by his parents, Jose Olimpio DePina and Margarida Xavier-DePina, his sister, Dilce Lawson, his brothers, Joseph and Danny DePina and his loving grand parents, aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
Elsie E. Conner
JOHNSTON - Elsie E. Conner, 93, died on September 30, 2012 at Morgan Health Center. She was born in Central Falls, RI. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Eva (Major) Conner. She worked at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital in the Maternity ward for 50 years until her retirement in 1999 where she was affectionately known as Red. She was a member of Smithfield Ave. Congregational Church.
She is survived by 1 nephew David Bardsley of New York, 1 niece Nancy O'Brien of Johnston, 1 great-niece, 1 great-great-niece and 1 great-great-nephew.
John F. Fanning
CUMBERLAND - John F. Fanning, 64, of Eddy Street, passed away Thursday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Madeline A. (Hunt) Fanning. He was a resident of Cumberland, and Craftsbury, VT.
John was a retired steamfitter for over 40 years, working out of Local 51, previously Local 476 of Rhode Island. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
He was a member of the Cumberland Beagle Club.
Olivia S. Medeiros
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Olivia S. Medeiros of the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield died Thursday at the residence. She was the wife of the late James Medeiros.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, a daughter of the late Antonio and Virginia (Sousa) Moniz. She came to the US in 1944 and settled in Bristol and Central Falls, RI and has been a Pawtucket resident since 1960.
Mrs. Medeiros was a Communicant of St. Anthony Church, Pawtucket and was a member of its Holy Ghost Society.
James F. Griffin, Jr.
EAST PROVIDENCE - James "Jimmy" F. Griffin, Jr., 88, of Elmwood Ave., Rumford, formerly of East Ave., Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2012.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late James F., Sr. and Mary E. (Kelley) Griffin.
Gilbert R. Ponton Sr.
CENTRAL FALLS - Gilbert R. Ponton Sr, "Pepere" 78, passed September 26th. He was the husband of the late Beatrice M. (Stay) Ponton.
He was the son of the late Gilbert R. and Bernadette C. (Larocque) Ponton.
He had been employed by Metalor Refining of North Attleboro and Alumaline Anodizing for many years.

PAWTUCKET - Marjorie A. Nashawaty, a retired educator, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 27, 2012.
Linda L. Perron
CENTRAL FALLS - Linda L. (Duphily) Perron, 51, passed September 27th.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Marcel and Ella (Parker) Duphily.
After graduating Shea High School in 1979 she then was employed by the corporate office of CVS as an auditor for many years and had also tended bar.
She is survived by two sons, Michael R. Perron and his wife Amy and Daniel R. Perron, two brothers, Ronald and Thomas Duphily, two sisters, Roxanne Bertrand and Debra Archetto, two grandchildren, Brayden and Aidan and many nieces and nephews.
PAWTUCKET - Stanley Loniak, 82, of Fogarty Manor, Roosevelt Avenue passed away Sunday September 16, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.
Born in Newark, NJ, he was a son of the late Steven and Pauline (Chicoracki) Loniak. He lived in Pawtucket for the past 13 years and was formerly of Warwick, RI and New Jersey.
Before retiring he was employed as a Manager in a Jewelry Manufacturing Co. He was an Art Exhibitor for 59 years and was a past member of the Pawtucket Art Collaborative Board Of Directors and a member of the Leon Mathieu Senior Center of Pawtucket.
Jeone M. LaRose
PAWTUCKET - Jeone M. (Meadow) LaRose, 103, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Lionel LaRose.
Born in Millbury, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Delima Meadow. Mrs. LaRose was a seamstress at the Lincoln Dress Company for many years. She was a member of the Notre Dame and St. Matthew Seniors Club, and enjoyed reading, crocheting and Bingo.
Mary B. Dolan
PAWTUCKET - Mary B. Dolan, 83,died peacefully on Monday surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Mansour and Wadiyah Berouty.
She is survived by her loving husband Irving of 63 years. She was the loving mother of Nancy Buss and husband Joseph
of Lincoln, and William Dolan and wife Grace of Oakland Maine. She was a devoted grandmother to Jenny and Katie Buss,
and Emily and Jamie Dolan. She is also survived by her sister Sally Wyllie of Lincoln. She was predeceased by her brother
Samuel Berouty of Long Beach California.

PAWTUCKET - Lee, Thomas A., Sr. Archie, 89, of Pawtucket, RI, died Tuesday, September 18 at Oak Hill Nursing Home. He was the husband of Maria (Pena) Lee and the late Eva Elizabeth (Gaumond) Lee.
Born in Providence, RI, a son of the late Anthony F. Lee and the late Marie Rose (Contois) Lee-Jodat.
Lillian M. Tancrede
RUMFORD - Lillian M. (Messier) Tancrede, 84, of Rumford passed away on September 24, 2012 at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Theodore Tancrede. Lillian was born in Pawtucket, Alphege and Rosalie (Charpentier) Messier.
Paulina B. Pereira
PAWTUCKET - Paulina B. Pereira, 56, passed September 25th.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde Island, a daughter of the late Joao lomba Brito and Maria (Pina) Brito.
She had been employed by Cathedral Art for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Marcelino de Pina and Rui J. de Pina, both of Providence
four brothers, Carlos Lomba of Lincoln, Marcelino Brito of Virginia, Jose da Rosa and Balarmino da Rosa, both of Pawtucket, two sisters, Candida Lomba and Julia Macedo both of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Caledio da Lomba.
David R. Grady
CUMBERLAND - David R. Grady, "Dinger Dave", 63, died September 22nd peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Carolyn (Kryla) Grady.
They were married for forty-one years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Thomas F. Grady Sr. and Muriel (Achorn) Grady.
Dave was a Mechanic for many years and a custodian for the Cumberland School Department. Mr. Grady was also a member of the Albion Social Club for many years.
PAWTUCKET - Hilda Najjar, 104 of Pawtucket, passed away at home with her loving family Saturday, September 22, 2012. She was the wife of the late Samuel Najjar. Born in Damascus, Syria, she was the daughter of the late John and Sadie Macharra. Hilda was a member of Saint Ann Sodality, Saint Basil the Great Church.
James W. Fletcher Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Fletcher Sr., James W. 80, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Rena (Faucher) Fletcher. They were married for sixty-one years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Isaac and Edith (Malloy) Fletcher.
He was a renderer for Pawtucket Rendering Company. Mr. Fletcher served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
James was a member of the Mason, Elks, American Legion, VFW and the Teamsters Union.
Michael C. Kwolek
NORTH PROVIDENCE - - Michael C. Kwolek, 70, of Gillen Avenue died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Beaulieu) Kwolek.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph and Nettie (Hrycaj) Kwolek, he had lived in Lincoln for most of his life before moving to North Providence.
Mr. Kwolek was the controller for the Pawtucket Times for 30 years before retiring. He was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy and Bryant College, now Bryant University.
