CUMBERLAND - Manuel Bulhoes, 69, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012. He was the husband of Berta (Mota) Bulhoes. Born in Sao Miguel, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Cecilia (Maderos) Bulhoes.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Sandra Mello; three sisters, Maria Costa, Elisa Araujo, and Adelaede Gomes; and three grandchildren, Priscilla, Alexis, and Matthew Mello. He was the brother of the late Jacinto Bulhoes.
Rita J. Rattey
PAWTUCKET- Rita J. (Gaboriault) Rattey, 92, a resident of St. Jeanne Jugan Residence, formerly of Mowry Street, Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leo W. Rattey for 63 years.
Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Ezechias and Della (Nolan) Gaboriault.
Mrs. Rattey was a payroll and accounting clerk for Murdock Webbing Co. in Central Falls until her retirement in 1980. She was a former communicant of St. Cecelia Parish and Notre Dame Parish.
John Q. Calista, Jr.
PAWTUCKET - John Q. Calista, Jr, of Pawtucket, RI, died at the age of 91 on Saturday, September 15, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Nunes) Calista for 67 years.
Born in Central Falls on August 14, 1921, he resided in Pawtucket since 1955. He was the son of the late John Q. Calista and Carolina (Nobrega) Calista.
John was a World War II Veteran, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant while serving as a certified Air Traffic Controller with the then Army Air Corp.
Katherine E. Brown
PAWTUCKET - Katherine E. Brown, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Edward J. Brown. Ms. Brown graduated from Tolman High School in Pawtucket in 1960. She worked for Swank, Inc. in Attleboro, MA for over 20 years and retired in 2007.
CENTRAL FALLS- Josephine Blanchette, 94, formerly of Forand Manor Washington Street passed away Saturday September 15, 2012 at The Grandeview Center in Cumberland. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Blanchette.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Jacenty and Ludwika (Biskup) Koza. She lived most of her life in Central Falls.
Before retiring Josephine was employed as a Sample Maker for the Display Novelty Co. of Pawtucket for 10 years. Prior to that she was employed as a Textile Worker in the Blackstone Valley Area.
Beatrice V. Sirois
PAWTUCKET - Beatrice V. Sirois, 93, of Pawtucket, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was the wife of Robert Sirois. They were happily married for sixty four years and were lifelong residents of Pawtucket.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Ovila and Anna (Poulette) Dufort. She was a longtime volunteer for Jeanne Jugan Little Sisters of the Poor and Notre Dame Hospital Women's Auxiliary. She was an avid sports fan.
Carol Smith - Tolliver
REHOBOTH, MA. - Carol (Kent) Smith - Tolliver 69, formerly of Rehoboth, MA residing in Brooksville, FL passed away unexpectedly at home on August 16, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Gladys and Fred Kent.
She leaves behind her brother Fred Kent and his wife Pat of Pawtucket, a daughter Debra Costa and her husband William of Pawtucket, a son Joseph Smith and his wife Sandra of Massachusetts and a daughter Sharon White of Florida, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

PAWTUCKET - Gladys E. (Porras) Grosso, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Ricardo Grosso.
Born in Panama, she was a daughter of the late Humberto and Susana Porras.
Gladys leaves her three children, Ricardo Dario Grosso, Ricardo Antonio Grosso and Mireya Jimenez all of Pawtucket; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Rita R. Serafin
PAWTUCKET - Rita R. (Walsh) Serafin, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Serafin.
A lifelong Pawtucket resident, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget (Higgins) Walsh. She enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her friends and family.
Edward F. Case, Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Edward F. Case, Jr., 64, of Grand Avenue, Pawtucket, died September 12, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. He leaves his devoted wife of 45 years, Judy (Minasian) Case.
Edward was born in Pawtucket, son of the late Edward F. and Gladys (Clarkson) Case. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard before working as a die caster for Whitehead Die Casting in Gainsville, GA. He was a member of the Dusza Almeida VFW Post 2239 in Pawtucket.
Jorge E. Rubio
PAWTUCKET - Jorge E. Rubio, 62, of Perrin Avenue, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday at Memorial Hospital, after a battle with Mesothelioma. He was the husband of Lyda (Valderrama) Rubio and had lived in Pawtucket for the last 34 years.
He was born in Cali, Colombia, a son of the late Narciso and Ana (Ceballos) Rubio. He had formerly been employed at Providence Metalizing Co., American Insulated Wire and more recently by W.E. Pray Trucking of Seekonk for the last 10 years.
Keri Lynn Bizier
SPRING HILL, FLORIDA - Keri Lynn Bizier, beloved daughter of S. Richard Bizier of Lincoln, RI and Lillian Bizier-Pinkerton of Spring Hill, Florida passed away on August 9, 2012, the day before her 27th birthday.
Keri was born in Johnston, RI, and had been a resident of Florida for the past 15 years.
Alfred H. Robertson
LINCOLN - Alfred H. Robertson, 79, of DuCarl Drive died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Landmark Medical
Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Sandra A. (Nerr) Robertson. Mr. and Mrs. Robertson were married for 37 years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Alfred and Edith (Pollard) Robertson, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 54 years.
Robert J. Moskowitz
PAWTUCKET - Robert J. Moskowitz, 81, of Monticello Road, Pawtucket died September 12, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Palagi) Moskowitz.
Robert was born in Patterson, NJ, son of the late Emanuel and Ann (Franceschini) Moskowitz. Robert is a veteran of the Armed Forces serving his country in both the Navy and Air Force. He was the International Traffic Manager for Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation until he retired. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

SEEKONK - Viola M. (Letourneau) Gianetti, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno J. Gianetti.
PAWTUCKET - Annie Astphan, 85, passed away on September 10, 2012 at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family, after a courageous fight with Alzheimer's Disease.
PAWTUCKET - Joseph Medeiros, 84, formerly of Doyle Manor in Pawtucket, passed away Friday at the Grandview Center in Cumberland after an illness.
He was born in new Bedford, a son of the late Anthony and Juanna (Amaral) Medeiros. He had lived in Pawtucket since 1958 and had been employed at Teknor Apex, retiring in 1990. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He leaves 3 sisters, Alzira DeMattos, Joana Gracia and Hilda Medeiros all of Swansea.
At his request Services were Private. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.

ATTLEBORO, MA - Irene L. Laberge, 93, of Phillips Street, Attleboro, passed on September 9, 2012 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late David Laberge who passed in 2010.

KNOXVILLE, TN - ELKAS, RAYMOND E. "BUZZ" - age 84, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 6, 2012, after an extended illness.
Born on July 16, 1928, in Central Falls, RI. Retired owner of Players International of Knoxville. 1947 graduate of Saint Raphael Academy, Graduate of University of Tennessee, Member of the UT Lettermen's Club, having in 1948 and 1949 under General Neyland.
