CENTRAL FALLS - James F. Lenihan Jr, 72, passed July 20th with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Noreen (Davy) Lenihan, they would have been married for 51 years this September.
James had been employed by Sani Kani for many years and then worked at Warner- Sullivan & Nilsson as a parts delivery driver. James life revolved around his family and fishing
LINCOLN - Tillie Hicks, 71, of School St., Albion passed away Thursday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. She was the long time companion of Carl Faria.
Born in Somerset, MA she was the daughter of the late William and Maude (Stanley) Hicks. She had resided in Albion for the past 10 years, previously living in Cumberland for most of her life.
Tillie was employed by the Amica Insurance Co. for 36 years retiring in 1997.
PAWTUCKET - Louise A. McCaffrey, 79, of Pawtucket died Tuesday, July 17, 2012.
Miss McCaffrey was born in Lincoln, the daughter of the late Henry and Annette (Larocque) McCaffrey. She was a controller for the Quill Pen Corporation for many years. Louise enjoyed reading and her visits to the library, was an avid gardener and a New England Patriots fan.
CUMBERLAND - Eugenia "Jean" A. (Niedbala) Hucal, 92, of the Chimney Hill Apartments, formerly of Cadoret Drive, Cumberland passed away Wednesday at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Michael Hucal.
Born in Fall River, MA she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes (Kokoszka) Niedbala. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.
Jean was employed by the Hindley Manufacturing Company, Cumberland for many years until her retirement in 1982.
RUMFORD - Colman S. Green Jr. of Rumford Towers, 90, passed away on Sunday July 15, 2012 at the Lynn Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Florence A. Green.
He leaves behind a daughter Beatrice M. Rescigno, four grandchildren and two great grandsons.
There will be no calling hours.
NORTH KINGSTON - Beaven, Helen J. (Diehl, Whitaker), 95, a resident of Pojac Point, North Kingstown, for 66 years, passed away on July 14th at Westview Health Care Center, West Warwick, after a brief illness.
She was born to the late John Frederick and Annie (Monahan) Diehl in Pawtucket, RI. After her mother's death in the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic, she was adopted and raised by her maternal aunt and uncle, the late Eva (Monahan) and Silas Whitaker, whom she regarded as her parents.
PAWTUCKET - Kenneth J. Brown, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra E. (Blue) Brown.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Ralph and Mary (Smith) Brown. He enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Ken also gave the generous gift of life through organ donation at the New England Organ Bank.
PAWTUCKET - Robert "Bobby" Pizzo, 49, passed unexpectedly July 14th at home.
Born in Pawtucket a son of Laura (Viveiros) Pizzo and the late Joseph Pizzo.
He had been employed by Karen's Kitchen of Smithfield.
PAWTUCKET - Luisa T. Neves, 91, passed with her loving family by her side on July 16, 2012. She was the wife of the late Geraldo D. Neves.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Teixeira.
She had been employed by Standard Romper (Healthtex) of Pawtucket for many years before retiring.
HARRISVILLE - LaMontagne, Lucien R., 70, of Harrisville, died Sunday, July 15, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Gail W. (Aldrich) LaMontagne and son of the late Raymond and Jeanne (Ferland) LaMontagne.
Lucien was a member of the Carpenters Union, AFL-CIO for over 30 years and served as a construction superintendent. He had served in the US Navy, was a member of the Hopedale Pistol and Rifle Club, held his private pilots license and was an amateur Radio Extra.
PAWTUCKET - Frank C. Calabro, of Pawtucket died July 16, 2012. He was the husband of Jeannette T. ( Cusson) Calabro. They had been married twenty five years.
Mr. Calabro was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Lawrence and Ermina (Lamacchia) Calabro. He was an office manager for Royal Electric in Pawtucket for many years.
Frank was an avid golfer, truly enjoyed traveling and was a longtime member of the Royal travelers.
CENTRAL FALLS - Maria F. (Teixeira) Calisto, 76, of Washington St. passed away Monday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Jose Calisto.
Born in Madeira, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Alvaro and Clara Teixeira. She resided in Central Falls for the past 8 years previously living in Pawtucket.
She was employed at various area textile mills for many years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of Our lady of Fatima sChurch, Cumberland.
CUMBERLAND - Sadie V. (Pora) Dzialo, 93, of Mendon Rd. passed away Sunday in the Memorial Hospital of RI, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Stanley F. Dzialo.
Born in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Kedzierski) Pora. She was a life long Cumberland resident.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, and a member of the Cumberland Senior Center.
PAWTUCKET - James H. Holden, 92, Pawtucket, died surrounded by family on July 15, 2012. Husband of the late Lucille (Whiteside) Holden to whom he was married for 49 years. Born in Providence, son of the late John and Jenny (Maher) Holden. He lived in Harmony and Harrisville before moving to Pawtucket.
PAWTUCKET - Arruda, John W., 60, of Armington Street died Friday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Donna M. (Proctor) Arruda.
Born in North Attleboro, a son of the late Arthur F. and Marilyn E. (Brown) Arruda, he had been a Cranston resident for the past 15 years and was formerly of Pawtucket.
Mr. Arruda was a driver for the Royal Cab Company for the past 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army.
EAST PROVIDENCE - Mariette S. (Joyal) Bruneau, 80 formerly of 500 Mendon Road, South Attleboro died Saturday July 14, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Rodolphe P. Bruneau to whom she was married 54 years.
She was born in Pawtucket a daughter of the late Armand A. and Ernestine R. (Brouillard) Joyal.
Mrs. Bruneau volunteered for numerous organizations throughout her lifetime and spent the last 25 years dedicated to Amos House in Providence.
EAST PROVIDENCE - Dolores R. Guatieri (Welsh), 85, died peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Orchard View Manor in East Providence.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Marius and her beloved daughter Loren. Until her retirement, Mrs. Guatieri was a principal in Hammart, Inc. a former Central Falls Aluminum Manufacturing business.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Helene V. (Clark) and Charles Welsh and the sister of Charles G. Welsh, Pine Knoll Shores, N.C. and the late H. Sheila Margraff of Clearwater, FL. and Eloise M. Cook, Farmer's Branch, TX.
PAWTUCKET - Sister Jacqueline Lemieux (Sr. Anne Melanie), SUSC of St. Cecilia Residence, Pawtucket, died suddenly on July 13, 2012 at the age of 74.
She was born in Taunton, MA on August 13, 1937, the daughter of the late Oscar and Helen (Nolin) Lemieux. In addition to her Holy Union Sisters, her sister Marguerite Steeves and brother Paul Lemieux, nieces and nephews, and a grandniece survive her. Her brother Raymond and sister Gertrude predeceased her.
CUMBERLAND - Diane A. (Descoteaux) Pepin, 68, of 156 Bear Hill Rd. passed away on Saturday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Vivian (Chaston) Descoteaux of Woonsocket and the late Gerald Descoteaux. She resided in Cumberland most of her life.
She was employed by the Dynisco Corp., Franklin, MA for 8 years until her retirement. Previously, she had been employed for over 15 years by the Motorola Mfg., Co., Mansfield, MA.
PAWTUCKET - Susan M. Kelley, 59, of Glen Meadows Drive, Pawtucket passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of retired Pawtucket Police Chief, George L. Kelley III. They had been married 37 years.
Mrs. Kelley was born in Providence, the daughter of the late John V. Fargnoli and Mary (Gebhardt) Fargnoli. She was a Court Clerk for the State of Rhode Island in RITT where she leaves many friends.
