PAWTUCKET - Dean D. Turmel, passed July 14th at the age of 45.
He was the son of the late Donald W. and Alice (Robichaud) Turmel.
Dean was a lifelong Pawtucket resident and had been employed in the construction and asphalt industry for many years.
He is survived by 6 sisters, Donna Johnson of Florida, Diane Metivier of North Providence, Deborah Martins of Attleboro, Doreen DeLuca of North Providence, Deanna Perron of Johnston and Dodi Marehand of PA, a brother, Donald W. Turmel Jr, of Providence. He also leaves 24 nieces and nephews and a lifetime of wonderful memories.
LINCOLN - James R. McGinness, 73, of Lincoln, died Thursday. He was the husband of Muriel S. (Sweeney) McGinness. They had been married 50 years.
Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late William and Yvonne (Erno) McGinness and a step-son of the late Doris (Descelles) McGinness.
Mr. McGinness was employed as a supervisor for Hasbro Manufacturing Co. for 44 years. He retired in 1997. He served with the US Army. He was an avid fisherman and card player.
PAWTUCKET - Shirley Blechinger, 79, passed July 19th at home. She was the wife of the late Robert Blechinger.
Born in New Bedford, Ma, a daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Corriea) Rogers.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Leyland and her partner, Dawn Olsen of Pawtucket, a son, Wayne Lima of Freetown, MA, six grandchildren, Sarah, Christine, Brian, Robin, Jeannine, and Jamie. She was the dedicated master of Chico.
CENTRAL FALLS - James F. Lenihan Jr, 72, passed July 20th with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Noreen (Davy) Lenihan, they would have been married for 51 years this September.
James had been employed by Sani Kani for many years and then worked at Warner- Sullivan & Nilsson as a parts delivery driver. James life revolved around his family and fishing
LINCOLN - Tillie Hicks, 71, of School St., Albion passed away Thursday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. She was the long time companion of Carl Faria.
Born in Somerset, MA she was the daughter of the late William and Maude (Stanley) Hicks. She had resided in Albion for the past 10 years, previously living in Cumberland for most of her life.
Tillie was employed by the Amica Insurance Co. for 36 years retiring in 1997.
