Sophie V. Drezek
PAWTUCKET - Sophie V. Drezek (Szczoczarz), 94, of Douglas Pike and formerly of Pawtucket passed away Wednesday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Drezek.
Born in Central Falls she was the daughter of the late George and Veronica (Matisewski) Szczocarz. She was a resident of the Heritage Hills Nursing Center for the past 4 years previously having lived in Pawtucket most of her life.
PAWTUCKET - Dorothy I. (Hesseman) Brown, 91, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Brown.
Born in Madison, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph and Valeria (Pierson) Hesseman, she resided in Pawtucket over fifty years.
Dorothy was a member of the Women's Circle and the Acacia Club at the First Baptist Church, Pawtucket, and enjoyed music and crafts. Dorothy especially enjoyed knitting, she would often make and donate baby sets, as well as hats and mittens for children.
PAWTUCKET - Linda M. (Thibeault) Roy, 65, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert F., Sr. and Flora I. (Daigle) Roy.
Linda worked in the Accounting Department of Hasbro for over fifteen years until retiring. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Linda enjoyed playing cards; music; Twin Rivers, and was a former member of St. Teresa's Choir.
WOONSOCKET - Clarisse Landry, 93, passed May 9th with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Landry.
Born in Lincoln, a daughter of the late Pierre and Sarah (Gagne) Emond.
She is survived by a daughter, Anita DuCharme and her husband Albert with whom she resided in Woonsocket, a brother, Emile Emond of Cumberland, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Raymond E. Landry.
SWANSEA - Muriel I. (Blake) Allenson, age 80, of Swansea, died, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Kimwell Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Merrill S. "Mel" Allenson.
Born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late David and Ida (Poirier) Blake, she lived in Seekonk for many years and had been a resident of Swansea for 25 years.
A graduate of Pawtucket East High School, she worked at Swank in Attleboro and Taunton for 20 years. Muriel was a member of the Red Hat Society, was a very talented knitter, and an excellent cook.
