PAWTUCKET — Decorated veteran Maurice “Moe” Trottier has received two more service medals to add to his collection, thanks to a little help from Congressman David Cicilline.
On Tuesday, Cicilline presented the longtime Pawtucket resident with a Naval Reserve Medal and National Defense Service Medal during a short ceremony in his Main Street office. Trottier, who holds the rank of Private First Class, had earned the medals but never received them until now, 21 years after his retirement.
