Schools chief urges Question 14 support

November 1, 2012

PAWTUCKET — The city's public schools, most built decades ago, would be in line for some much-needed renovations and repairs without greatly impacting taxpayers if a $5 million bond request passes.
Schools Supt. Deborah Cylke is urging voters heading to the polls on Nov. 6 to approve “Question 14” on the local ballot. As stated on the ballot, Question 14 would “provide for health, safety, and fire code-related emergency repairs, renovations and equipping of public school buildings.” The bond would be amortized over 20 years.
