PROVIDENCE â Two defendants responsible for a series of ânote-jobâ bank heists in the Blackstone Valley have been sentenced to federal prison for committing a combined total of five robberies, U.S. Attorney Peter F. Neronha announced.
Shirley A. Green, 48, of Lincoln, was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Court Judge William E. Smith to 48 months in federal prison for committing three robberies in two months in 2009.
On Friday, Andrew Shepard, 30, of Warwick, was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for two similarly weaponless robberies within a span of seven days in July 2010.
