EAST PROVIDENCE - Jeannette (St. Amand) Dulude, 91, of Alexander Avenue died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Dulude and the late Joseph Lafleur.
Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late George and Philomena (Harrison) St. Amand, she had lived in Lincoln for 49 years before moving to East Providence 4 years ago.
Mrs. Dulude was a sewer at Peterson Puritan and American Tourister before retiring.
Paul R. Kabbaze
CENTRAL FALLS - Paul R. Kabbaze, 56 of Central Falls died Tuesday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.
Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Anthony and Helene (Ducharme) Kabbaze and was a lifelong resident of the City.
He was a Reconditioner working in the Auto Industry for many years.

PAWTUCKET â€” A man wanted as a suspect in Friday's robbery of the Pawtucket Credit Union, along with a female believed to be his accomplice, were arrested on Wednesday afternoon by police in New York City, Pawtucket Police said.
On July 29, the credit union, located at 571 Smithfield Ave., was robbed by a male suspect. A witness observed the suspect enter a vehicle that was waiting nearby and being operated by a female.

The namesake and driving force behind what will be the eighth edition of the Edd Pedro Wiffleball Tournament has been burning the midnight oil this week making final preparations for Sundayâ€™s mega-event at Slater Park.
â€śThis weekâ€™s been pretty crazy,â€ť Pedro said on Tuesday night during a break from his preparations. â€śIâ€™m up to midnight every night normally, and Iâ€™m just out in my garage working on something for the tournament.
CUMBERLAND - It's always the same. For most of his 30-plus years playing softball, nothingâ€™s changed for Kirby Murphy each time he faces an opposing pitcher.
Before he approaches the on-deck circle, he takes three warm-up swings with three different bats. He then walks near the batterâ€™s box with the bat that heâ€™s going to use and swings that three times. He then signals for a time out and takes two more swings inside the batterâ€™s box before heâ€™s ready to go.
Dolores Marie Neville
PAWTUCKET - Dolores Marie (Lindemann) Neville, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully in the company of her family Aug. 1 at Scallop Shell Nursing Home in Wakefield, after an extended illness. She had been a professional educator and held teaching and administrative positions in the Providence and Pawtucket school systems, most notably at Meeting St. School, Governor Center School and Shea High School.
Genevieve T. Padykula
PAWTUCKET - Genevieve T. Padykula 92, of Hanover Avenue passed away Wednesday August 3, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Padykula.
Born in Cumberland she was a daughter of the late Felix and Agnes (Zombek) Banach. She was a life long resident of Pawtucket.
Before retiring she was employed by the Rhode Island School Lunch Program. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church Holy Rosary Society.

PAWTUCKET â€” A 51-year-old Warwick man, on probation for two previous criminal convictions, including the 1982 murder of a young Pawtucket woman, has been accused in the November 2010 murder of 83-year-old Pauline Buco, also from Pawtucket.
PAWTUCKET â€“ It wasnâ€™t as if Kevin Millwood was deliberately ambiguous when asked if the veteran pitcher envisions finishing the season with the Pawtucket Red Sox. The simple answer is that Millwood doesnâ€™t have one.

The All-Star squad faces Massachusettsâ€™s titlist Andover National Saturday afternoon at 2 in the opener of the New England Regional Tournament at Breen Field in Bristol, Conn.

CUMBERLAND - Michael G. Gregory, 41, passed August 1st with his loving family by his side.
Raised in Central Falls, a son of George G. and Gloria J. (Desaulniers) Gregory, Michael attended Holy Trinity School, and then St. Raphael's Academy in Pawtucket.
Mike was a five year Army Veteran serving during the first Persian Gulf War.
He then worked for Century Link for many years.
JOHNSTON - Marion (LaFountaine) Fahey, 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Linus Fahey.
A. Michael Reilly
LINCOLN - A. Michael Reilly, 86, passed August 2nd. He was the husband of Sophie (Gouvalaris) Reilly.
Born in Seekonk, MA a son of the late Michael A. and Rose (Couture) Reilly.
He had been employed for 20 years by the Continental Bronze as a sheet metal fabricator.
He was a third degree Knights of Columbus, Lincoln Council and tended bar at the family business, Reilly's Cafe of Cumberland for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael A. Reilly also of Lincoln, He was twin brother of the late Eileen LaRose and also Mary Walker.
NARRAGANSETT - Dorothy Shmaruk, 91, formerly of Central Falls, died Monday. She was the wife of the late Michael Shmaruk.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late George and Marie Schroeck. Mrs. Shmaruk served in the US Navy during WWII, enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her friends at the senior center.

After all, when youâ€™ve amassed 13 round trippers in 43 games â€“ Lavarnwayâ€™s mashing rate heading into Mondayâ€™s action â€“ you start flashing back to names like Jim Rice, Sam Horn, Phil Plantier and Izzy Alcantara and the baseballs they made vanish.
