New 'fix-it' stations installed on bike path

CENTRAL FALLS — Central Falls Mayor James Diossa announced the opening of two bicycle “fix-it” stations in the city Thursday afternoon. The fix-it stations, which include all of the tools necessary to perform basic repairs and maintenance, are located along the on-road cycling route connecting the East Bay Bikeway and Blackstone Bikeway, at the following locations: Chocolateville Overlook (Charles Street) and River Island Park (1425 High St.

Some fireworks shows rescheduled

July 3, 2014

Due to expected rain and wind associated with Hurricane Arthur, some local fireworks displays have been rescheduled.
Cumberland has cancelled its show for July 3 (tonight) and rescheduled it to Saturday, June 5 with the celebration beginning at 6 p.m.
Fireworks are still currently scheduled in Glocester for July 5, at 9 p.m., but there is a rain date of Sunday, July 6.
The Bristol fireworks scheduled for July 3 (tonight) at Bristol Harbor at 9:30 p.m. is still expected to proceed as planned.
