PAWTUCKET --- As good as Brandon Workman was on Wednesday night â€“ and he was very good â€“ his counterpart was just a tad bit better.
Toledo Mud Hens starter Kyle Lobstein delivered his best outing of the year, limiting the Pawtucket Red Sox to four hits and a free pass in 6 1/3 scoreless innings, and the Hensâ€™ bullpen kept the PawSox off the board the rest of the way in securing a 4-0 victory at McCoy Stadium.
PAWTUCKET --- Limited to five hits in each of its last two games, Cumberland broke out of its offensive slumber in a big way in the top of the first inning of its Division I contest against Tolman on Wednesday afternoon.
The Clippers scored six times on seven hits in that inning, and then watched ace pitcher Juliet Nelson and their defense contain the hard-hitting Tigers the rest of the way before busing out of Slater Park with a 10-1 triumph.
PAWTUCKET â€“ A Pawtucket man was arrested Wednesday and charged in connection with the unprovoked stabbing of a barber at the Major League Kuts barber shop on Pleasant Street, police said.
The suspect, identified as Abraham R. Silva, 25, of 52 Larch St., Pawtucket.

PAWTUCKET - ILdebranda F. Oliveira, "ILDE" 46, passed on May 7th surrounded by a large loving family. She was the devoted wife of Antonio G. Oliveira. Born in Brava, Cabo Verde, she was a daughter of Carlota Fernandes and Gaudencio Rodrigues.
She had been employed as a supervisor by RI Textile Company for many years. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by her 24 siblings, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a step son, Antonio J. Oliveira, her mother, brother and sister in laws.
