PROVIDENCE â€“ Holding his thumb and forefinger about a half inch apart, retired Central Falls policeman Bruce Ogni implored the House Finance Committee to â€śshow us just this much compassionâ€ť by allowing the retirees to keep the 75 percent of their pensions they have left after the cityâ€™s historic bankruptcy.
While there were some tax increases and layoffs as part of Central Fallsâ€™ plan to get out of bankruptcy, the hammer came down hardest on retirees.
Jeannette M. Quilitzsch
CUMBERLAND - Jeannette M. Quilitzsch, 93 of Little Pond County Road passed away Monday in the Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of Herbert Quilitzsch and the late James Jackson.
Born in Waterville, ME., she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (LaBrecque) Sevigny. She lived in Cumberland for more than 20 years and previously resided in North Attleboro.
Erin E. Erskine
PAWTUCKET - Erin E. Erskine, 32, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of John Erskine, and the late Margaret (Whitehead) Erskine. Erin was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. She graduated from Bishop Keough in 1999 and she also attended the New England Institute of Technology.
Besides her father she is survived by a sister, Tara Erskine of Pawtucket. She also leaves twin nieces, Taylor and Alexis Erskine-Coulombe.
