WARWICK â€“ Lincoln controlled the tempo for most of the night and held a significant advantage in the shots-on-goal department in its opening game of its best-of-three Division II semifinal-round series against Cumberland.
Unfortunately for the defending champions, they didnâ€™t control the first few minutes of the game. The Clippers did, and what they did in the first 2:21 of play helped them eke out their third one-goal victory of the season over their neighboring rivals.

PAWTUCKET â€” If you build it, they will come...to learn, use computers, make music, and play sports. Next year, local youths will have a new, state-of-the-art place to gather thanks to an addition to the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket's facility at One Moeller Place.
Roger Stanley Provencher
QUINCY- Roger Stanley Provencher age 57 of Quincy Mass., formerly of Pawtucket and Central Falls, RI, died Tuesday, March 11 at Quincy Medical Center.
Son of Rita Jette and the late Raymond Provencher, stepson of Rene Jette.
Longtime companion of Alma Manning, father of Jennifer Lee and her husband Eric Lee, brother of Jacquline Pelletier, Anita Hermann, Leo Provencher and his wife Debra Jean, he was also the brother of the late Robert Provencher, grandfather of Jacen Lee and many nieces and nephews.
The services will be private.
CRANSTON- Baziotis, Eleftherios "Lefty"" Baziotis, 79 of Cranston, RI passed away peacefully Friday morning March 14, 2014 at home.
He was the husband of Irene (Petras) Baziotis, and the late Chrysanthe (Pliakas) Baziotis.
CENTRAL FALLS- Rose Messier was born in Central Falls, RI on July 13, 1927 to the late Alphee "Leo" Bonin and Clara (Nolin) Bonin.
Lucille D. Goyette
LINCOLN- Miss Lucille D. Goyette, 96, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Trinity Health and Rehab Center, Woonsocket.
Lucille was born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Dominique and Maria (Tanguay).
She lived in Pawtucket, moved to Cumberland in 1984 and then to Lincoln nearly 25 years ago. She worked in the textile industry for many years and retired in 1984.
Joseph R. Shaw
ATTLEBORO- Joseph R. Shaw, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Laurette (LaChance) Shaw.
Born in Taunton, MA, a son of the late Joseph and Vera (Ellingham) Shaw.
Joseph was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a driver and salesman for Dottie's Catering, Pawtucket, for over 32 years until his retirement in 1990.
