CRANSTON â If the Lincoln All-Stars had any concerns during their R.I. Little League Major Division (11-12) Tournament opener on Saturday afternoon, they didn't relate to their collective performance but the weather conditions, which slowly deteriorated.

CENTRAL FALLSâA three-story building at 52 Watson St. was damaged by fire at about noon Saturday after a Dumpster next to the building caught fire. Flames extended to the outside of the building. The fire quickly went to two alarms due to the intense heat. Mutual aid was called to the scene to assist.
CENTRAL FALLS â Police are asking for the publicâs help after a woman was shot at 108 Cross St. at 4:45 Saturday morning. Police said a 28-year-old unidentified woman was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police are investigating a "commonality" between Saturday's shooting and a shooting last month at Hadwin and Tremont streets, a police press release stated. Police would not release any other details as the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Police Departmentâs tip line at 727-7420.
