PROVIDENCE â€“ Plans for consolidating Cumberlandâ€™s four fire districts are causing a rift in the townâ€™s General Assembly delegation that could delay a merger until next year.
LINCOLN â€” The Division I playoffs donâ€™t begin for another eight days, but Wednesday nightâ€™s marquee clash between longtime rivals Lincoln and Cumberland sure had the feel of the postseason in the air.

Flore I. Fontaine
CENTRAL FALLS - Flore I. Fontaine, 97, formerly of Central Falls, died Monday at St. Antoine Residence, N. Smithfield. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Oliva and Rosanna (Berard) Fontaine.
Miss Fontaine had been employed as a supervisor for Moore Fabric Co. until her retirement in 1975. She was a communicant of St. Mathieu Church prior to moving first to the Villa at St. Antoine and then to the residence. She had been a member of the Children of Mary, and the Golden Agers of St. Matthew, St. Cecilia and Notre Dame Churches.
JosÃ© N. ConceicÃ£o
PAWTUCKET - JosÃ© N. ConceicÃ£o, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maria L. ConceicÃ£o. Born in Sta. Barbara, Algarve Portugal and was the son of the late JosÃ© B. ConceicÃ£o and Maria Lucinda Das Neves. He lived in Pawtucket and worked for Algar Construction before retiring. He was a member of the UniÃ£o Portuguesa Beneficente and the Portuguese Social Club of Pawtucket, RI.
Francis A. LaBree
PAWTUCKET - Francis "Tuddy" A. LaBree, 65, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Susan C. (Joyce) LaBree for 36 years and the late Sally (Leighton) LaBree. Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Francis W. and Dorothy M. (LeBrun) LaBree.
Frank was a supervisor at Englehard Industries, Plainville, MA, for over 25 years and was an avid baseball fan.
Joan L. Madden
REHOBOTH - Madden, Joan L., 78, of Peck Street, Rehoboth, Massachusetts, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Leo Madden. They were married for fifty-two years.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James and Alice (Amos) Glanvill and stepdaughter of the late Margaret (Morley) Glanvill, she lived in Rehoboth for the past thirteen years, previously living in Pawtucket and Providence.
Richard H. Campbell Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Richard H. Campbell Sr, "Dick" 72, passed on May 21, 2013. He was the loving husband of Donna M. (Lambert) Campbell. They have been married for 52 years.
He was the son of the late Leo and Loretta (Kelly) Campbell.
He had been as a machinist and toolmaker for many years and was the lead guitarist and vocalist of "Country Loving" and other bands since he was a child. He also taught guitar to many.
