Deolinda Neves

CENTRAL FALLS - Deolinda Neves, 89, formerly of Summit Street, passed away Friday in the Oak Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Pawtucket.
Born in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late Antonio A. and Palmira (De Jesus) Neves. She resided in Pawtucket for the past 12 years, previously residing in Central Falls.
Miss Neves was employed as Tape Weaver for the Hope Webbing Company for many years.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

PAWTUCKET - Fernanda (Gomes) DeAndrade, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. She was the wife for sixty-eight years of the late Alvaro DeAndrade, Sr.
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Gabriella (Andre) Gomes. Fern came to the United States at the age of 18 months, spending her life in Rhode Island.

PAWTUCKET - Daniel M. Campos, 77 of Pawtucket, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Francisco and Anduzenda (Midas-Mendes) Campos. Daniel was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Daniel is survived by a brother, Francis Campos, a nephew, Louis Campos, a niece Paula Campos, and several other nieces and nephews.

PAWTUCKET - Agnes R. (Rock) Lawrence, RN, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2013. She was the beloved wife of John H. Lawrence for 65 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Catherine (Carr) Rock. Agnes served in the U.S. Navy Nursing Cadet Corps during World War II. She was a member of the graduating Class of 1947 at Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Agnes worked as a maternity ward nurse at Memorial Hospital of RI until retiring in 1991. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

2 city men indicted by grand jury

PROVIDENCE — The Providence County Grand Jury has indicted Pawtucket resident Justin Thomas, 26, with seven counts of first degree robbery, use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, carrying a pistol without a license, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny over $1,500, resisting arrest and reckless driving, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

Host Johnston celebrated its Senior Night with a victory over the Lions in the Division II-North regular-season finale for both playoff teams, but the Lions turned in strong games defensively and on the glass and gave the Panthers a run for their money before winding up with a 36-34 loss.
