CUMBERLAND â€“ The executive director of the Cumberland Housing Authority has been disciplined after employees complained of her heavy-handed management style, officials say.
CHA Director Lee Ann Lamothe was placed on probation for 90 days and ordered to obtain specialized training in employee relations, said Richard S. Hilton, chairman of the Cumberland Housing Authority.
Lamothe was also placed on paid leave for 10 days while the commissioners investigated the complaints, between Nov. 21 and Dec. 9, said Hilton.
Leona J. Faille
CUMBERLAND- Leona J. Faille, 96, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. She was the wife of the late Clifford Faille.
Born on September 4, 1917 in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Mastai and Rosina (Patenaude) Brule.
Mrs. Faille was a secretary for Corning Glass for several years before retiring.
SWANSEA- Olivette "Jean" Petrasky, 86, of Mohill Avenue passed away Sunday December 22, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Bronislaw "Ben" Petrasky.
Born in Fall River, MA she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Dube) Lavallee. She lived in Swansea, MA for the past 9 months and formerly lived in South Attleboro, MA, for 38 years.
CUMBERLAND â€” Tolman High head coach Mike Kayata admitted to being less than ecstatic about his offense on Thursday night.
His defense, however, was a different story.
Excepting a lull early in the final stanza, that â€śDâ€ť forced most of Lincolnâ€™s 18 turnovers throughout the first half and down the stretch as the Tigers rolled to a 56-40 victory in the first semifinal of the 41st annual Boys & Girls Club of Cumberland/Lincoln Roadshow Holiday Classic at Cumberland Highâ€™s Wellness Center.
