PAWTUCKET â€” The charred remains of the three-family house at 420-422 Mineral Spring Ave., where Tuesday's explosion occurred, was abuzz all day Wednesday with police and fire officials, National Grid workers, and various bulldozers and dump trucks. However, as the day drew to a close, there was no word on the cause of the devastating blast and fire that left at least seven people homeless and sent two to the hospital.

PAWTUCKET - Ernest Savastano, 88, passed away on November 4, 2013. He was the husband of the late Mary (Conway) Savastano.
Ernest was in the Army during WWII.
He is survived by his children Ernest Savastano and Maryann Duggan and two sisters, Dina Phaneuf and Dorothy Nimmo. He was the brother of the late Albino Savastano, Leno Savastano, Louis Savastano, Pearl Romano, Nella D'Agnetica, Blanche Nero, and Lynn Simmons.
Elizabeth B. Drezek
PAWTUCKET - Elizabeth "Betty" (Bailey) Drezek, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Drezek, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Bertha (Maloney) Bailey. Elizabeth enjoyed playing Bingo and writing poetry. She was a member of the former Poetry Writers Guild, which would meet at the Pawtucket Public Library. Elizabeth was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Manuel Gaspar Dos Santos
PAWTUCKET - Manuel Gaspar Dos Santos, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
He was the beloved husband of Maria Luis (Da Piedade) Dos Santos. Born in Cortico Da Serra, Portugal, he was a son of the late Jose Saraiva and Maria Augusta (Gaspar) Dos Santos.
Besides his wife, Manuel leaves four children, Jorge Gaspar, Maria Cabral, Albertino Gaspar all of Pawtucket and Mario Gaspar in Switzerland; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Manuel was one of nine siblings.
Louis M. Drozd Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Louis M. Drozd Jr., 75, passed away Monday November 4, 2013.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Ludwik M. and Antonina (Siwy) Drozd. He was a life long resident of Pawtucket.
Before retiring Mr. Drozd was employed as a Science Teacher for 30 years at Tolman High School.
He leaves his three loving children, Alyssa T. Dube of NY, Laura J. Hauser of NH, and Louis M. Drozd III of Austria. He also leaves two devoted sisters Helene Brooks, of MA and Barbara Slomin of FL. along with five cherished grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
