PAWTUCKETâ€”Gary Gaudreau, found guilty in September of burning down the Physique Company, the gym that he owned on York Avenue, was sentenced Monday before Judge Nettie Vogel.
Gaudreau, 76, of Hutchinson Street, Pawtucket, received a sentence of 25 years at the Adult Correctional Institutions, with nine years to serve, and the balance suspended with probation, according to Amy Kempe, public information officer for Attorney General Peter F. The mystery surrounding where the Division II Super Bowl will take place is no more.
Monday saw the Rhode Island Interscholastic League confirm the bowl sites and times for all four divisions. To date, the only division with a confirmed matchup is Division II, with defending champion Cumberland squaring off against West Warwick.
The Clippers and Wizards will meet Sunday, Dec. 8 at Cranston Stadium. The kickoff is 3 p.m. and will be preceded by the Division I contest, which gets underway at high noon.
Jesuina Barbosa Gomes
CENTRAL FALLS - Jesuina Barbosa Gomes, 74, entered into eternal peace on Friday, November 22, 2013. Mrs. Gomes was born in Ribeira Ilheu, Mosteiros, Fogo, Cabo Verde. She was the wife of the late Tito Pires Gomes. She was the daughter of the late Casimiro Barbosa Amado and Maria Barbosa Amado. She immigrated to the United States in 1983 and resided Pawtucket, RI.
Lucien V. Plamondon
CENTRAL FALLS - Lucien V. Plamondon, 80, passed on November 23rd with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Margaret (Tougas) Plamondon. They have been married for 53 years.
Born in Vermont, he was a son of the late Emile and Exilia (Lambert) Plamondon.
Lucien had been employed by Starline Structures for 28 years and then for The Fair in Cumberland retiring in 2002. He served in the US Army.
Ethel M. Capineri
Ethel Margaret (Pierce) Capineri, born on September 30, 1928, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Nov. 23, 2013. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Joseph A. Capineri, Esq. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Isa (Hadfield) Pierce of Coventry, RI. She was a registered nurse and a graduate of the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
