PAWTUCKETâ€”A Pawtucket man and noted youth basketball coach, accused of possessing child pornography, is out on bail after being arrested by the Rhode Island State Police on Friday.
PAWTUCKET - Davinia Monteiro, 62, passed November 17th with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Amancio Rodrigues. She was born in Brava, Cabo Verde, a daughter of the late Antonio Tavares DePina and Carlota Monteiro. She worked for Conrad-Jarvis manufacturing for 27 years.
Kathleen V. Fonseca
CENTRAL FALLS - Kathleen V. Fonseca, 67, passed November 18th with her family by her side. She was the wife of Amadeu F. Fonseca; they have been married for 49 years.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Rose E. (Barry) Shottek.
She had been employed as an LPN for many years.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Anthony J. Fonseca and David J. Fonseca, a daughter, Kristen M. Baker, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Kathleen was the oldest of seven siblings. She was the mother of the late John J. Fonseca.
Chief Chester W. Segers
INVERNESS, FL - Chief Chester W. Segers, U.S. Navy (Ret), 86, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis M. (Walsh) Segers. Born in Blount County, Alabama, a son of the late Clayton and Cotha Mae (McDonald) Segers, he resided in Pawtucket before moving to Florida in 1992.
Sarah E. Pendlebury
PAWTUCKET - Sarah E. (Ward) Pendlebury, 96, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Major General William B. Pendlebury, U.S. Army (Ret). Born in New Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth M. (Heatley) Ward. Sarah resided in Pawtucket most of her life before moving to Rumford in 1996 and then to Bristol in 2001. She was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and served as Choir Mother.
