EAST PROVIDENCE â€” The firing last week of City Manager Peter Graczykowski has prompted a renewed call for the city to consider switching to an elected mayor form of government, a proposal the sitting City Council wants to open up for debate at its next meeting on Nov. 19.
Part of that debate will be whether or not the council should put a strong mayor form of government question on the ballot next year.
Beatrice L. Weiss
LINCOLN - Beatrice L. Weiss, of Lincoln, died Monday at Landmark Medical Ctr. She was the wife of the late Marcel J. Weiss. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Rene P. and Florence (Laporte) Tougas.
She was a graduate of the former Notre Dame High School. She lived in Attleboro, MA and worked for many years at Texas Instrument before moving to Woonsocket where she made her home for 45 years. She was a retiree of AT Cross Mfg. Co. of Lincoln.
Annette Y. Dussault
CUMBERLAND - Annette Y. Dussault, 89 of One Mendon Road, passed away Tuesday in Riverview Healthcare Center, Coventry. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Dussault.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Eserest & Ida Vincellette. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.
She was communicant of St. Aidan Church, Cumberland.
Kent C. Smith
PAWTUCKET - Kent "Kenny" C. Smith, 53, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 10, 2013, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Woods) Smith and the son of Alice Shirley (Jamieson) Smith of Lincoln and the late Justin Francis Smith.
Kenny resided in Lincoln before moving to Pawtucket twenty-seven years ago. He was employed as a form roller at Umicore, Attleboro and had previously been employed by EMS, Attleboro.
Lily Belle St. Onge
PAWTUCKET - Lily Belle St. Onge, 16 days old, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Boston Children's Hospital, Boston, MA. Lily was born in Providence on October 22, 2013, the beloved daughter of Christopher E. St. Onge, Jr. and Danielle R. (Greene) St. Onge of Pawtucket.
