PAWTUCKETâWhile some people like to embrace the dark side of Halloween, there are those who see it in a different spirit...one that celebrates âcommunity.â That was Oak Hill resident Molly Garrison's sentiment when she and some of her neighbors conjured up the idea for a Halloween parade.

PAWTUCKET - George (Bud) E. Tetrault, 80, of Pawtucket, RI passed away peacefully at home Friday, October 11, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Alfred P. and Gladys (Bishop) Tetrault. He was married to his beloved wife Jean S. (Charrette) Tetrault for 61 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Tessier's Hardware in Pawtucket for over 30 years. He was an avid fan of both the Red Sox and Patriots. He hardly ever missed watching a game. He loved camping, traveling and enjoyed playing cards with his many friends.
Esther I. LeBlanc
PAWTUCKET - Esther I. (Gervais) LeBlanc, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Philippe W. LeBlanc. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Romeo J. and Esther J. (Crompton) Gervais. Together Esther and her late husband were the former owners of Phils Restaurant in Central Falls. She was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in life in giving to her family. She was an avid reader and loved to travel.
Judith A. Gilbert
BURRILLVILLE - Judith A. (Fitzgerald) Gilbert, 71, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Gilbert. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Allen) Fitzgerald.
Judith was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she enjoyed shopping on QVC.
She leaves three daughters, Cheryl, Kim and Kristine Gilbert; a sister, Nancy Brissette; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Brenda Gilbert.
Doris M. Emond
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Doris M. Emond, 88, of North Washington Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Madonna Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Emond who passed away in 1984.
Born in Pawtucket, RI on Sept. 9, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Godin.
Doris spent her youth in Pawtucket and was a graduate of Cumberland High School. She retired after 25 years from Texas Instruments as an assembler. She enjoyed line dancing, water aerobics and traveling with friends.
James E. Truslow
PAWTUCKET - James E. Truslow, 86, passed away Monday October 21, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen T. (Gorczynski) Truslow.
Born in Pratt, W.VA he was a son of the late Roy and Nell (Miskall) Truslow.
He was employed as a Service Man for the former Valley Gas Co.
Mr. Truslow was a WWII Veteran serving in the Merchant Marine and later joined the Army and National Guard.
He was a NRA registered fire arms instructor and a member of the Stony Brook Rod & Gun Club of Lincoln and the Tri Town Rod & Gun Club of Foster. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Laurent G. Tessier
EAST FALMOUTH, MA - Laurent G. Tessier, 73, a loving and devoted father passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Falmouth Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Central Falls, RI, the son of the late Lionel and Annette (Bessette) Tessier. He resided in the Blackstone Valley area for many years before moving to Cape Cod. Mr. Tessier was a self-employed talented carpenter and cabinet maker retiring several years ago.
BURRILLVILE - Debra (Patenaude) Bandilli, 53, passed on October 25th. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Bolduc
Debra was the daughter of Arthur A. Patenaude and the late Rita (Goudreau) Patenaude.
She had been employed as a Registered Nurse for many years.
Besides her father, she is survived by two daughters, Brittany Bolduc and her son Jefferey, and Courtney Bolduc, three brothers, Kenneth, Kevin and Eric Patenaude, a sister, Diane Patenaude and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael J. Bolduc.
SO. ATTLEBORO - Constance (Cofone) Dalton, 81, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Angelo P. and Eva M. (Ferrarini) Cofone.
She leaves two sons, Herbert and Peter Walters; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Darlene Quintal.
Alice M. Lussier
PAWTUCKET - Alice M. (Gaboriault) Lussier, 85, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013. She was the former wife of the late Gerard R. Lussier, Sr. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Gaboriault and Ida (Dubois) Robilotto.
She leaves a son, Gerard R. Lussier, Jr. of Maine; a daughter, Theresa Fatima Lussier of Foster, RI; two grandsons, Daniel Ward and Richard Lussier and her friend and caregiver, Claire M. Durand with whom she made her home.
PAWTUCKET - Dorothy Almeida of Pawtucket passed away on October 26, 2013. She was the wife of the late Manuel Almeida. Mrs. Almeida was born in Pawtucket the daughter of the late Christopher Beck and Aspasia (Kounavas) Beck.
She is survived by her nephew Philip Kitsalis of Pawtucket and other nieces and nephews.
CUMBERLAND - Doris Soucy, 97, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Lucien W. Soucy.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Yvonne (LaReau) Hamel. She resided in Cumberland for 14 years, previously residing in North Smithfield.
She was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville. She was an accomplished seamstress, and worked many years in that industry.
PAWTUCKET â A pedestrian was killed and the driver whose vehicle allegedly struck him was charged after an accident early Sunday morning on I-95 near the Smithfield Avenue exit.
The accident took place at 4:40 a.m., Col. Steven G. OâDonnell, superintendent of the R.I. State Police, said in a press release issued by the department Sunday afternoon. The victimâs identification is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, he said.
CENTRAL FALLS â Voters will have a chance to get an up-close and personal look at the candidates for City Council, including the two at-large seats that will be up for grabs for the first time this year, at a forum sponsored by the YWCA Rhode Island Wednesday evening at 6:30 at Central Falls High School.
Bianca Pavoncello, executive editor of the Pawtucket Times and Woonsocket Call, will be the moderator. She will take written questions from the audience as well as questions generated by the YWCA.
