Two indicted on robbery, conspiracy charges

PROVIDENCE — A 22-year-old Pawtucket man was indicted by a Providence County Grand Jury on Jan. 4 on robbery and conspiracy charges.
Rosivelte Lopes, of Jefferson Avenue, was indicted with one count of first degree robbery and conspiracy, according to the Office of Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin. It is alleged that on or about Oct. 5, 2012, Lopes and two unidentified co-conspirators robbed an individual, with the robbery being in the first degree. The alleged incident took place in Pawtucket, and the Pawtucket Police conducted the investigation.

We’ll have some baseball news to chew on Wednesday afternoon when the Hall of Fame balloting is unveiled for public consumption. In the eyes of this non-voter, Cooperstown should roll out the welcome mat for one non-steroid tainted newcomer on the ballot, Craig Biggio, whose inclusion is based purely on achieving 3,000 hits – one of those mythical benchmarks that automatically trigger inclusion into the game’s exclusive fraternity.

CENTRAL FALLS - Helen F. Kwiatkowski 86, passed away Thursday December 27, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Chester S. Kwiatkowski.
Born in Central Falls she was one of ten children born to the late Ignacy and Anna ( Gadomska) Wojcik. She lived in Central Falls for the past 12 years and was formerly of Johnston.
Before retiring Mrs. Kwiatkowski was employed as a Spot Welder at Texas Instruments for 20 years. She was a member of the Fierlit-Korzen Post A.L. Post #79 Ladies Auxiliary of Central Falls.

Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Stanieszewski) Sujdak. She lived in Cumberland for the past 6 years and was formerly of Seekonk.
