PAWTUCKET - Raymond J. O'Riley, 90, of Goff Ave., Pawtucket passed away June 10, 2012 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center, Providence.
He was the husband of the late Mary (Bolandz) O'Riley. He was born in Providence, the son of the late Mildred Frechette. He was also the son of his adoptive parents Margaret and George O'Riley.
He worked in numerous restaurants as a cook in RI, also owning two restaurants in Providence. He worked in food service his entire life, retiring at age 83. He served in the US Military (Navy) during WWII and received the Purple Heart.
PAWTUCKET - Richard T. Biliouris, 67, went to be with our Lord on April 16, 2012, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Richard was born in Pawtucket to the late Charles and Mildred Biliouris. Richard graduated from Tolman High School, class of 1963 and attended the University of Rhode Island.
PAWTUCKET - Manuel L. Medina, 87, of Pawtucket died June 12, 2012. He was the husband of Estela (Cardoso) Medina.
He was born in Figueira DaFoz, Portugal, son of the late Jose and Maria Lopes (Raposeiro) Medina.
Besides his wife he is survived by 1 son Joseph Medina of East Providence, 1 daughter Elaine Falk of North Providence and 1 granddaughter.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10am in the Mt. Hope Community Baptist Church 734 Hope St. Providence. Calling hours will be held on Friday 5-8pm in the church. Burial will be in St. Stephens Cemetery, Attleboro.
CRANSTON - Emilia Barros "vovo" 91, of Cranston passed away on Monday June 11, 2012 at 1:50pm in Riverview Nursing Home in Coventry in the presence of her loving granddaughter Clara Clark. She was the wife of the late Caitano Barros.
She was born in Brava, Cape Verde a daughter of the late Cacilda Silva Santos and Manuel DosSantos.
Emilia leaves 6 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Elisa Rocha.
PAWTUCKET â€” From the days of volunteers and horse-drawn equipment to the continued importance of funding a relief fund for the injured, the long and storied history of the Pawtucket Fire Department and those serving on it, past and present, were celebrated on Sunday outside the Roosevelt Avenue headquarters.
CUMBERLAND â€” With a nod to the class of 1962, the graduating class of 2012 bid farewell to Cumberland High School on Monday night at a ceremony held at Tucker Field.
