City Hall employees donate to food drive

PAWTUCKET — Pawtucket City Hall employees and members of the local community helped make a dent in the Winter Food Drive being coordinated by Progreso Latino and the Cesar Chavez Scholarship Fund to benefit residents of Central Falls, Pawtucket and Cumberland.
On Tuesday, Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien and Douglas Hadden, his director of constituent services and communications, delivered three large boxes of donated canned goods and other food items to the Salvation Army.

Frederick P. Short

LINCOLN- Short, Frederick P., 66, of School Street, Lincoln died Tuesday February 28 at Florida Hospital Tampa.
He was born in Pawtucket, son of the late Frederick and Ada (Inglis) Short.
Fred was a graduate of Pawtucket West and served his country as a USA Ranger combat veteran in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was an active member in the Vietnam Veterans of America in Rhode Island and local Chapter 818. Fred is survived by his sister Dorothy and two sons Joshua and Zachary.
