Four-year-old Carolina Santos of Pawtucket chooses a My Little Pony toy during the annual toy distribution by volunteers from the Blackstone Valley Community Action Program in association with Hasbro Inc. at the Woodlawn Community Development Center on Wednesday. Mayor Donald Grebien donned a Santa hat and helped distribute the Hasbro-donated toys to needy children in the community. Distribution to children in the community from ages 1-12 will also take place today from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Woodlawn Center.

Grisly crime scene in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET — Police are investigating what has been described as a grisly scene involving two bodies found in an apartment at 125 Goff Ave. Wednesday.
According to police, officers responded to The Lofts 125 complex at around noon to investigate an incident that occurred inside one of the apartments. It has been confirmed that the dead bodies of two adults, one male and one female, were found inside one of the apartments.

Twin River exec faces child porn charge

PROVIDENCE (AP) — An executive at a Rhode Island slot parlor has been arrested and charged with possessing child pornography after police say someone discovered the images on his work computer.
WPRI-TV reports that Twin River's vice president of finance, Suneet Talpade, was arrested Monday.
Lt. Brian Casilli tells the station the photos were discovered at the slot parlor in Lincoln.
The 51-year-old Talpade lives in Wallingford, Conn. A telephone message left by The Associated Press at a listing in his name was not immediately returned.
