City voters to decide capital projects

PAWTUCKET — When city voters head to the polls on Tuesday to choose the next president and decide a few local races, they will also be asked to consider a number of ballot questions pertaining to an assortment of statewide issues and about $8 million in local capital improvement projects.

Laureen Grebien, wife of Mayor Donald R. Grebien, who is spearheading the 2012 Pawtucket Holiday Basket Drive, along with Herb Weiss, the City's Economic & Cultural Officer, begin their efforts to collect can goods and non-perishables to help Pawtucket families in need to have a Thanksgiving meal. These items can be dropped off at the following City locations: Bristol County Savings Bank, 215 Armistice Blvd.; RI Antique Mall, 345 Fountain St.; Pawtucket Planning & Redevelopment 175 Main St., 3rd Floor; Pawtucket City Hall Lobby and the Mayor's Office Lobby, 137 Roosevelt Ave.
