PAWTUCKET â A fire in a multi-family apartment house at 111 Randall St. on Friday injured four Pawtucket firefighters and left 15 people homeless.
According to Fire Chief William Sisson, the blaze was reported around 11:30 a.m. in the large, three-story woodframe house. It began in the attic and quickly burned through the roof, causing extensive damage to the entire house, he said.

PAWTUCKET - James "Bud" E. Halliday, Jr., 89, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Pauline R. (Lussier) Halliday, they were married for sixty-four years. Born in Providence, a son of the late James E. and Ruth (Gray) Halliday, he resided in Pawtucket since 1947.

PAWTUCKET - Annette M. Fecteau, 69, of Trenton Street, Pawtucket died Friday, January 6, 2012.
She was born in Central Falls the daughter of the late Leonard E. Fecteau and Marie Yvonne (Maillet) Fecteau. Annette was a homemaker.
Annette was a longtime member of the ARC of Blackstone Valley and the Citizens of Power.
She was the sister of the late Lucille LaPlume.

PROVIDENCE â After huddling behind closed doors for two hours with mayors, town administrators and other municipal officials, Gov. Lincoln Chafee declared that 2012 âshould be the year of the cities and towns.
âWe can not have East Providences and Woonsockets and Coventrys and other towns being read about across the country in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times and other national publications that are going to be a detriment to the economy of Rhode Island,â the governor said. âWe've got to address it.â
