PAWTUCKET â€“ The Donaldson Gymansium was rocking Friday night with droves of Tolman High fans coming out to witness the Tigersâ€™ Division II quarterfinal matchup with Pilgrim.
The host did not disappoint.
Tolman, a No. 2 seed from the II-North at 14-2, overcame a rare loss in the opening game by winning the next three en route to a 3-1 decision over the Patriots.
The win is the first in the postseason for the Tigers since their 2003 championship season. Itâ€™s also avenges back-to-back losses to the Patriots, a three seed for II-South, in opening-round matches of the last two playoffs.
PAWTUCKET - Dean Bouvier, of 214 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket.
Mr. Bouvier was born in Providence, the son of the late Norma (Duphiney) Holmes-Traylor. He was a teller at various racetracks up and down the East Coast.
He is survived by a son Corey Robert, and his brothers and sisters Donna Calabro, Susan Lewis, Sharon Simas, David Traylor, Charles Traylor, and Melodie Traylor. He was the brother of the late Robert Traylor and Paula Holmes.
Mary H. (Gavitt) McDuff
PAWTUCKET - Mary H. "Polly" (Gavitt) McDuff, of Pawtucket died Friday, June 3, 2011. She was the wife of Joseph G. McDuff. They had been married 56 years.
Mrs. McDuff was born in Westerly, the daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Hickson) Gavitt. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket.

CENTRAL FALLS: George R. Martel, 74, passed peacefully with his loving sons by his side.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Rock and Fleurette (Pare) Martel.
Gregory William Coughlin Jr. M.D.
CUMBERLAND - Gregory William Coughlin Jr. M.D., 73, passed away on Thursday June 2nd, 2011 at Kent County Hospital, Warwick surrounded by his family. Born in Providence RI, he was the son of the late Gregory W. and Alice (Burek) Coughlin.
