Walter S. Kieon
CENTRAL FALLS - Walter S. Kieon, 90, of Jenks Street passed away Wednesday February 16, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine V. (Salus) Kieon.
Born in Pawtucket a son of the late Michael and Zuzanna (Bujak) Kiewra. He lived in Central Falls for the 65 years and was formerly of South Attleboro.
Before retiring in 1978 he was employed as a Truck Driver for the former Yale Transportation Co. for 25 years.

Defending state champion Cumberland will host 2010 runnerup Warwick Veterans tonight at The Wellness Center with the regular season dual-meet title at stake.

Tolman (8-4-0) faces both contenders twice.
â€śWeâ€™ve lost two games to Mount Hope (10-2-1) and twice to Cranston East (8-3-1),â€ť Tolman coach Steve Reynolds pointed out. â€śWeâ€™ve beat the teams we should have beat but now we have to finish our season against two good playoff teams.â€ť

Albert D. Giguere
PAWTUCKET - Albert D. Giguere, 82, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011.He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Braganca) Giguere. Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Roch G. and Beatrice (Lafleur) Giguere, he resided in Pawtucket over 60 years.
Al was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by Texas Instruments, Attleboro until retiring in 1993 and was previously employed by the former Washburn Wire Company for over thirty years until its closing. Al was a member of the Italian DIP Club.

SEEKONK - Sandra D. (Pope) Marcotte, 61, a Medical Secretary passed away Monday, February 14, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Edward F. Marcotte for thirty-nine years.
Frederick M. Rogers
PAWTUCKET - Frederick M. Rogers, Sgt. Pawtucket PD Ret., passed away peacefully February 10, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in the city of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John and Clementina (Cormier) Rogers. He was the husband of the late Joyce G. Rogers.
Paul J. Goulet Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Paul J. Goulet Jr., 56 of Francis Avenue, passed away Sunday in the VA Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Carla Orzechowicz.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Phyllis (Rhode) Goulet Sr. He was a lifelong Pawtucket resident.
He was employed as a truck driver for Regency Transportation for 10 years prior to becoming an owner/operator.
He was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam, where he served as an MP.
He enjoyed Fishing, Dirtbiking and riding his Harley Davidson.
Paul was loved and respected by all his friends and family.
Dominic R. Sorrentine
N. CAROLINA - Dominic R. Sorrentine, 104, of North Carolina and formerly of Rumford, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011. He was the husband of the late Rose (McAloon) Sorrentine. They were happily married for forty one years until she passed away in 1972.
Born in Palermo, Italy, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Valleco) Sorrentine.Dominic was a Milkman for the former Fiske Dairy of Rumford for many years until his retirement. He had lived in Rumford for most of his life before moving to North Carolina seventeen years ago.
Clara S. Raimundo
PAWTUCKET - Clara S. Raimundo, 86, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011. She was the wife of the late Jaime Raimundo. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Maria (Paiva) Sequeira. Mrs. Raimundo was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Smiley and her husband Philip of Pawtucket. She also leaves two grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Leno, Antonio, Joseph, George, John, William and Josephine Sequeria and Hilda Fonsceca.
PAWTUCKET- Joseph Fernandes, 95 of Grandeville Court, Wakefield died Saturday at South County Hospital, Wakefield. He was the husband of Alice (Lopes) Fernandes.
Born in Taunton, Ma. a son of the late Albert and Izaura (Almeida) Fernandes. He has lived in Wakefield for the past three years and prior to that he lived in North Providence and Pawtucket.
Mr. Fernandes was the owner of Joe's Market in Pawtucket.
PAWTUCKET â€” After dodging knockout punches for most of the night, Shea delivered one of its own in overtime during its showdown with Central Falls on Monday night.

CENTRAL FALLS - Christine M. (Viau) Thibodeau, 43 of Hendricks Street died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Attleboro, MA, She was the daughter of Linda M. (Hamilton) McMenemy and the late Armand Viau. She was the sister of Rene Brewer of Attleboro, Lisa Jorgenson of Warwick, Gladys Ogni of Pawtucket, Kelly Lauder of Johnston, Vikki Viau of Pawtucket, Donna Gregorio, Kathryn Viau and Ronald Allard, Jr. all of Central Falls. She was the step daughter of Ronald Allard of Central Falls.
Mary A. Wiker
PAWTUCKET - Mary A. Wiker 91, of Second Street passed away at her residence Sunday February 13, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Bernard Wiker.
Born in Pawtucket she was a daughter of the late Peter and Nellie (Kuras) Wiewura. She lived in Pawtucket all of her life.
Mrs. Wiker was employed as an Operating Room Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital for 3 years and at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for 6 years.
George E. Tetreault
CUMBERLAND - George E. Tetreault, 89, of Ferncrest Drive, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Otto) Tetreault and the late Rose (Gingras) Tetreault.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late L. Philip and Ozena (Theroux) Tetreault, he resided in Cumberland for many years.
George was a World War II U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed at Texas Instruments, Attleboro for forty-two years before retiring as a tooling engineer in 1986. George loved woodworking and had been an avid bowler for many years.
PAWTUCKET â€“ Based on their last two games, it seems St. Raphael Academy and North Smithfield are two evenly matched hockey teams.
The Saints avenged a 5-3 loss to the Northmen two weekends ago with a 5-4 victory on Saturday night at Lynch Arena. SRA improved to 3-11 in Division II-North with the win while the Northmen fell to 3-12. Neither team will qualify for the playoffs.
PAWTUCKET â€“ George Patrick Duffyâ€™s name is well-known around this city, most commonly associated with the 70 years he has spent coaching youth sports. What most people donâ€™t know is that Duffy endured a frightening experience while serving in the Coast Guard during World War II.
The 90-year-old gentleman sat in his living room two weekends ago and answered questions about his military career, speaking in the measured tones he developed while serving as publicity director for the old Providence Steamrollers and radio announcer for the Rhode Island Reds.
