St. Raphael's offense defined by explosive and dynamic players

St. Raphael Academy has enough big-play weapons on offense to stick with the more potent teams in Division II this season.
Head coach Mike Sassi is most comfortable running a Wing-T offense. This year’s team has the personnel to make that formation work cohesively. It begins with quarterback Julian Diaz, an efficient playmaker who can throw the ball on the run and downfield when needed.

CENTRAL FALLS — When the city's state-appointed receiver decided not to fund the programs and operations of the Adams Memorial Library back in April, Carol Basile's heart broke.
Hers wasn't the only one.
“I felt terribly,” she said. “The children were disappointed and disgusted, and the parents were, too. The Children's Room is downstairs, and they came not just to be read to but read themselves. They had other things to do; they'd play with blocks or puzzles, and the older ones would go on the computers. Their moms would sit on the couch so they could keep an eye on their children.

CF roads get paved as benefit of water main project

CENTRAL FALLS — By being able to piggy-back on the Pawtucket Water Supply Board's water main replacement project, 14 local roads have been newly repaved at no cost to the city.
Central Falls DPW Director Joseph Nield said that the Pawtucket Water Supply Board (PWSB) earlier this year embarked on a program to replace water mains and pipes in the water district that were 25 years old or beyond. The replacement project involved sections of 14 roads that were dug up and fitted with new pipes and mains.
